What testers should know
- Updates are included for the 30 days: install them from the panel's Updates page. They stop when the beta ends.
- On day 31 the license expires on its own. Your servers keep running and your data is untouched. You can still start and stop them, use the console and file manager, and create, restore and delete local backups (and restore or delete remote ones). Until you add a paid license you can't register nodes, create servers or apps, add databases, teams or schedules (including scheduled backups), export new remote backups, use dedicated nodes, or build and deploy apps. The panel says Existing management remains available.
- Offline, it keeps working for about a day. The panel checks its license every 15 minutes. If it can't reach the license server, it carries on normally for about a day (a 1-hour lease plus a 24-hour grace period), then the same limits as above apply until it can check in again. Updates always need a successful online check.
- Feedback goes to the developer directly. Use the Feedback section in your account; screenshots help.
- Nodara is proprietary, licensed software, not open source. The beta license is a Growth license that runs for 30 days.
- You need a fresh server and a domain. A new Debian 13 or Ubuntu 24.04 server with nothing else on it, and a subdomain for the panel. The installation guide lists everything, including how to back up the whole installation.
- Coming from Pterodactyl? Nodara can't sit next to Wings and can't import your eggs or servers. What carries over, and what doesn't.
When the 30 days end
The beta license expires on its own and never renews. Your servers, data and recovery tools stay available, as described above. To keep going, choose a plan.
